Quick update
Limited time today...lots of work. But, new task mastered. Today I learned to remove a poopy diaper, clean, and replace with a clean diaper all while child is attempting to catch a stuffed manatee whilst on her stomach! She is impossible to keep still and to keep on her back to change a diaper.

Such is life!
C went to great lengths to keep the dogs on one blanket and Lyndie on another. Anyone who knows our dogs knows that the blue blanket is theirs. Lyndie has a cute monogrammed white fleece baby blanket. Well, Chaco and Lyndie had other plans. Note the swap when no one was looking.
Lyndie and I spent most of this morning at the garden center buying plants for our new house. I got a little brave and decided to buy strawberries to grow for Lyndie this summer. I am planning on quite the harvest like Cappy with his orange grove (ha ha). Lyndie slept through me planting everything. Surely she will wake up soon as I am ready for a walk in this nice weather!

The Doctor's office
Today Lyndie went to the Pediatricians office for two vaccines. While everything is growing correctly, she continues to be small but mighty. She is on target with all of her skills other than her size. She is quite the social butterfly. She now waves at anything that might wave back, including random men at Lowes. She attempted to feed herself a cracker yesterday at church. I left her in the nursery last night. When I came to pick her up, the worker had found the crackers and told me that Lyndie loves them...this I already knew. We call them "baby crack" because they are quite addicting. This morning, I realized the container was half gone. That poor unsuspecting nursery worker fed Lyndie A LOT of baby crack. Oh well, whatever keeps her happy. At the present moment, she is down for a nap; then its cereal time! We strongly suspect Lyndie has a dairy allergy due to two separate incidences of profuse vomiting when fed dairy. So, no feeding Lyndie off our plates or offering her anything I have not approved. The doctor wants her immune system to relax. He hopes she'll outgrow it. I do too.

A mind of her own
Lyndie is on a solids strike right now and is insisting that she only drink milk. She will however break the strike for sweet potatoes or avocado. I cannot get her to eat bananas, apples, or pears. Very frustrating. She also caused quite a scene tonight in a restaurant. It was our first time we sat down, ate and appetizer and asked for to-go boxes. Bummer! Nothing like a nice dinner turned into takeout. The streak is over for Lyndie's perfect out-to-eat record!
Peas Please
Lyndie is wearing/eating homemade organic peas. I get kind of grossed out by the color of the canned baby foods. But, the bright colors I make at home make bright colored stains on clothes! Lyndie doesn't care...she enjoys wearing all of it!

Lyndie eating peas for the first time
These are two videos of Lyndie eating peas for the first time. She really did not appreciate all my hard work in making her dinner. Lyndie actually prefers veggies over fruits. We are having a tough time getting her to eat them.

Colts football party
This is a pic of Lyndie and Karrington at the Colts party. Its a pic from a few weeks ago but so cute. Its worth posting late...
Never drop the tooth brush!
Sunday was of course Nursery day for Lyndie which is always a challenge. Afterwards, I met some friends with their babies (Beckett and Karrington) in the park for a little baby fun. L had a good time on the slides and swings but really got worn out fast. After a nap of approx 15 min Lyndie was back and ready for more. Dinner time consisted of a meal in her high chair with her tooth brush in hand. When I attempted to remove said brush, Lyndie pitched a royal fit. I rapidly gave it back. I attempted to replace it with a spoon. No luck. So, we ate...Tooth brush in hand.
She kept quite a clutch on her brush as we moved to the bath room. We switched hands carefully as she undressed for her bath. Then, we proceeded to bathe with the brush in hand. After nursing partially with the tooth brush, she became too groggy to hold on any longer. With a tiny fuss, I removed the brush and off to sleep. Like her father, she can be quite set on an idea! :)

Sunday School for Lyndie
Our morning started off like the perfect V-day. Lyndie was dressed in the cutest dress. As we are walking out the door, she barfs all over said dress. Back to her Jammies. In Sunday school, L screams as I leave. But, victory is mine. I didn't get paged from service. She was happy and sleepy when I picked her up.

Tonight I spent most of my time making home made baby food. I pureed apples, pears and cauliflower (each separately). Golden delicious apples steamed for about 12 mins make a nice aroma. After puree, each fruit/veggie is placed into ice cube trays, frozen and then bagged and labeled. Its cheap and so much healthier. You should see the difference in my sweet pea baby food vs Gerber. The color is so much more vibrant! I am proud! Trying to be more healthy and organic!
