Before and After birthday boy

Channing showed no interest in his birthday cake when we actually celebrated his birthday.  So, I froze his cake topper and saved it for a day I knew he would be hungry.  He tends to be a bit more bashful and would rather NOT have 20 people watching him eat his cake.  Yesterday I thawed it and placed it in front of him.  He stared at the cake for a long time.  I put some icing in his mouth, nothing.  Finally, Daddy tore into the side of the cake to reveal red interior (red velvet).  Once the icing was removed on one side, he hollowed out he cake, avoiding the icing as much as possible.  Like his Momma, not a fan of icing!
