Easter and our crazy trip!

Its been quite busy around here for me and the kiddos.  We all made the trek to see Nanny Boo and Cappy.  Lyndie and Channie both became sick with colds on the trip.  Luckily I had the forethought to pack the breathing machine for Channie, just in case.  I know I am a little odd and obsessive compulsive at times, but this time it paid off...in a big way.  Channie and Lyndie both spiked fevers of around 102 the night before Easter.  We knew neither child was going to make it to church in their Easter clothes.  Daddy and I managed to sneak off with Nanny Boo to hear an amazing sermon about making changes and living life now!  It was a great message.  I do miss my home church and find myself saying, "yes I would drive 6 hours to hear this once a week."  Now that is how you deliver a message.  No it wasn't the fancy music or anything else.  Just a good moving message that always leaves you thinking how can you change, improve.  Well, the rest of the stay was nice.  But all good things must come to an end.  We drove home a new scenic route.  Daddy pulled over on the side of the road at a state park so I could nurse Chann.  He walked the dogs and let Lyndie see some buffalo.  He also happened to leave the radio on for me.  I told him when I was done, I would just come pick everyone else up.  I did not turn off the radio before attempting to restart the car, drained the battery, and had to get a jump from a state park employee.  The trip that took us less than 5 hours on the way there took us 6 plus hours on the way back.  Oh and I forgot to mention, Channie spiked his highest fever yet in the car and was stripped down to a diaper for the ride home.  Lyndie also urinated on her shorts on accident at the state park.  I looked like white trash with a sick baby in a diaper and a little girl in only a t shirt and diaper.  You cannot help but laugh.  I am sure I am not telling this story very well, so call me for full details.  And if you want the slightly more dramatic version, call Daddy  ;)  Our trip out of town was not very restful for anyone.  But we ate really well (thanks Mom and Dad) and we had fun as a family even though the kids felt awful for some of the time.  Here we go with the pics!
