Dancing with Daddy

These next few pics are from the Salty Dog Cafe. Its a boardwalk type restaurant with live music. Its totally family oriented. The musician even invites the kids to the stage and throws little toys to his "tiny dancers." Since I am about the size of a house right now, Daddy danced the night away while I sipped fruit smoothies and enjoyed the warm night. Lyndie's necklace is a light up star fish that the musician threw to her. I asked Daddy later if he felt self conscious acting like such a kid. He just stated that he didn't realize anyone else was around. Too cute! There is a lot more to these pics than any will really ever know. This boardwalk is where it all began three years ago. This night is the night we decided to start "trying." We saw so many other people with kiddos, laughing and dancing. They all were our age and seemed to be living a pretty nice life. We both said, "I want that." We love the Salty Dog Cafe! PS the food is terrible...but the atmosphere is to die for!

We visited Sea Pines while in Hilton Head. Its a fun little area with shops, a light house, and live music...more on that in a minute. I took many of the same poses from last year as Lyndie cannot resist playing in the shells that are laid down instead of concrete for sidewalks. Its hard to even get her to look up at the camera.

More fun at the beach. We really didn't take a single photo together without a bathing suit. In fact, this is the only one. I always find myself behind the camera. Oh well!

I dressed myself!  Not sure where this one came from.  Dated Sept 5th.  I think we were trying to see if last year's vest fit.  Then I couldn't get it off of her.  She added the whistle and accessories.

Lyndie has decided that all popsicles are called "w." No one knows where she came up with this idea, nor why she continues to use it. Who knows?

I put on her suit top. I then we to go get a swim diaper. She beat me to the task by placing her suit bottom over her regular diaper. She forgot something. Enjoy!

Strawberries girl!

Lyndie frequently follows me out to the garden. I insist on all organics...so the berries are smaller. But boy are they tasty! Lyndie has figured out that I lay anything I pick from the garden on the deck before I bring it inside. Unfortunately, the strawberries were disappearing. They never even made it in the house. First I yelled at the dogs. Then I realized who the true culprit was and grabbed the camera!

Ice Queem Man

Ice Queem Man

The ice cream man comes every thursday during the summer. Lyndie expects him every night. This is a fat frog, which she loves. It stains everything except clothes...nice. We strip her down to a diaper after she is finished, rinse her in a dog's water bucket, and carry her inside to the tub. Its moments like these that make me think summer time! Cute to boot!

This better not be a foreshadowing for the future. No tats allowed. Stickers, however, are okay!

Big enough for a bed!

Well, it had to happen. Lyndie has moved out of the nursery and into a big girl bed. I hauled the trailer 2 hrs away to pick up her bed. Linens are absolutely adore from Pottery Barn. The stripes on her duvet and ribbons. Precious! Her nap went great. She has had some practice sleeping in a bed here and there. Her toddler bed has been converted for a while. But today she moved into a new room. The nursery is now for little brother(no name yet). Daddy and I are so proud of Lyndie for accepting the transition so easily. She has become reacquainted with her music, blaring her stereo again as always!

C and I were playing in the drive tonight with Lyndie. She really enjoys driving her VW bug. You can actually watch the progression of her learning as she masters steering. She usually prefers to slam on the gas and allow the car to take her where ever. This has made me cock the steering wheel to one side before she gets in. Today she saw me do this and decided maybe she would imitate. Here comes a lot of videos!
